This week's Wreck of the Week took out a few contenders and a lot of pretenders, but it's the kind of wreck that could have some significant impact on the season down the line. Matt Kenseth took out Brian Vickers, triggering a monstrous wreck that collected a lot of the midpackers. And now Vickers and several others have Chase hopes that lie in ruins of tangled sheet metal, barring a wild card gambit. Most ominously of all, Vickers pledged that this wreck isn't the end of the story between himself and Kenseth:
Kenseth, in a performance better than anything honored later that night at the Academy Awards, insisted that he didn't realize anything had happened. But expect this one to have some repercussions down the line.
