Devil Ball Golfcast 72: The Dan Plan’s Dan McLaughlin

Could you become a professional golfer with enough practice? Dan McLaughlin thinks he can, and he's using the famous "10,000-Hour Rule" to prove it. Basically, Dan hopes to practice golf for 10,000 hours, the point at which you, in theory, become an expert at whatever it is you choose to do. Can he make it? Well, we won't know for a few years yet, but you can follow his progress at TheDanPlan.com. (He just passed 1,600 hours not too long ago.) And he's here to chat with us today about the challenges inherent in such an endeavor, and whether he is, in fact, crazy for trying such a stunt. I'll be honest, we're jealous. But we had fun chatting with Dan, and we think you'll have fun listening to him.

As always, I'm joined by Shane Bacon, writer here and at Dogs That Chase Cars. (Follow Shane on Twitter right here, and while you're there, follow me too.)
