The 17th at Sawgrass hosted some of the week’s best shots

When you're at Sawgrass, you expect some dramatic shots, and this year's version of The Players Championship was no exception. The 17th saw brilliance and heartbreak, and so it's only natural that we begin there for our shots of the week.

Eventual Players champ KJ Choi took the lead at Sawgrass with this clutch birdie putt; the next time through, par was enough for the win:

More follows.

Two shots of the week, for all the wrong reasons, would be David Toms' approach on 16 that found the water and his par putt on the playoff hole that lipped out. But let's not forget his unbelievably coldblooded putt on 18 to even force that playoff:

Phil Mickelson knows how to put on a show, sidling up this Sunday approach on 17 inside the leather:

And finally, Sergio Garcia (remember him?) eagles No. 2 in the second round:

Congrats to all our shotmakers this week, particularly Choi. Well played, chap!
