Jerry Kelly, in full Horned Frog mascot gear, tees off

Bets are fun, but paying them off can be brutal, as Jerry Kelly found out this week at Colonial Country Club.

Kelly, who's from Madison, Wis., made a bet with fellow golfer J.J. Henry, a Texas Christian grad, over this year's Rose Bowl, which pitted Wisconsin against TCU. The loser (in this case, Kelly) had to wear the winner's mascot gear and tee off at the pro-am invitational event before the tournament. Behold, a man fulfilling the terms of his bet:

Kelly posed for a few pictures sans Frog head to prove it was really him inside. Then he teed off on the first tee; conveniently enough, his foursome included TCU coach Gary Patterson. Texas Christian is within two miles of Colonial Country Club. Below, Henry (left) and Patterson (right) thank Kelly for his service:

Remember, kids: betting is evil. Unless you have to do something ridiculous to pay it off; then it's cool.
