Q-School Quelch: The winners and losers from 2010

PGA Tour Qualifying School is over, and with it, 25 new members, and a lot of others mending wounds from six grueling rounds of golf. Who won and who lost this week? Check it out. 

Winners

Billy Mayfair: He's 44, and has won five times on the PGA Tour in his career, but Mayfair came back to Q-School to try and earn his card, and earn it he did. Mayfair birdied his 107th hole of the week (17th, if you're scoring at home) and made par on the difficult 18th to win the thing outright. Not bad when you're fighting all these young guys.

Joseph Bramlett: Bramlett (pictured) was tied for 33th as the day began, but carded a 4-under 68 on Monday to sneak into the top 25 and secure a full-time PGA card for next season. The even cooler part? Bramlett will be only the second golfer on the PGA Tour coming from a black heritage, joining Tiger Woods, who offered up some congratulations to a fellow Cardinal on Twitter, telling him, "Can't wait to play with (you) next season."

Chris Baryla: Want a good final round? We will give you a good final round. Baryla was well outside the cut line before Monday, and made the turn at just 1-under for the day, but then went off, making birdies on his first five holes of his second nine to post a 6-under 66 and jump 25 spots to make it into the top 25. 

Alex Rocha: It's all about how you finish, right? Rocha was 1-over through six holes on Monday, and well outside the top 25, but he turned it on, making five closing birdies and no bogeys to make it in by two shots. His birdie on his 17th hole was the factor.

Losers

Richard Lee: Two-under for the day and crusing along, Lee closed with bogeys on 15 and 16 to miss out on qualifying by a shot.

Ryan Armour: Starting the day tied for 22nd, Armour couldn't find pars until it didn't matter. In his first eight holes, Armour made four bogeys, only to par out to miss his card by two shots. 

Camilo Benedetti and Jeff Quinney: Both tied for 16th going into the final round, both ahead of the cut line, and both closed with 2-over 74s to miss out on the PGA Tour by a shot.
