Deep Posts: Is Maurice Jones-Drew being run into the ground?

? Point, by Jaguars blog Big Cat Country: It'stime to give Rashad Jennings more carries to spare Maurice Jones-Drew some of the workload.

? Counterpoint, by Maurice Jones-Drew:No it isn't.

? Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg goes on record with the following thought:Michael Vick can be a better quarterback than Steve Young. San Francisco football blogNiner Noise is skeptical. I don't see it as a great stretch, myself.

Sure, Vick's not there yet, but as great as Steve Young was, athletically, he's not in Vick's stratosphere. Longevity and consistency are obviously concerns for Vick, but look at it this way: Is Vick capable of having a mind-blowing game better than any game Steve Young ever had? Of course he is. So why isn't he capable of doing that over a longer period of time?

I'm not arguing that he will, I'm just saying that it's not crazy. Young had about eight great years of great NFL quarterbacking. Vick still has time to have eight just as good.

? Hey, great news:Maurice Clarett is going to be back with the Omaha Nighthawks of the UFL. Last year, Clarett carried 37 times for 154 yards, for an average of 4.2 yards per carry. Glass half-empty: For a guy who once thought he'd be an NFL superstar, that's not very good. Glass half-full: That's not bad for a guy who spent more than three years eating prison food.

? The Redskinsvow not to release Albert Haynesworth. They'll instead exhaust every opportunity to trade him. I think this also means that the Redskins are hoping the new collective bargaining agreement allows for an NFL draft 1,349 rounds long, so someone has a draft pick worthless enough to give them for Albert Haynesworth.

? Is it okay thatTony Romo and Jason Witten are playing beach football with Sean Payton?I mean, it's fine with me, but is this alright with the NFL and NFLPA?
